With the IAHSA’s 8th International Conference in London just a brief two weeks away, we’ve been diligently examining some wonderful international designs of environments for our world’s ageing population. We’ve received nearly 40 entries from around the world and are excited about the variety of designs, integration of the environment and care provision and the caring insight that designers worldwide are beginning to display in their work.

Our jurists include care providers from Australia and the Netherlands, an environmental researcher from Japan and architects from the UK and US, each of whom bring a unique and experienced perspective to the symposium In London, we will present those perspectives which will also provide a catalog of ideas and approaches we can all utilize as we address designs of environments for the ageing. We will also post the presentation on the IAHSA web site to share with the world!
