IAHSA Member Emi Kiyota is an inspiring individual. In June 2007 she traveled to Sri Lanka as part of a research team that would “explore the alternative living arrangement that elders can maintain their familiar lifestyle in their community.” To share her experiences with the world Emi began the Aging in Community Project in Sri Lanka blog. Her stories are incredible and offer unique insights on elder care in a developing country.

Emi returned to Sri Lanka in 2008 for the second phase of her research and has updated her blog. I encourage you all to read about her adventures and be inspired!
