Many countries use immigrant workers to augment their local workforce and the numbers that are being recruited four other countries to care for the elderly is increasing.

Many governments are now finding that the immigrants do not go home as they age but remain in their newly adopted country. These elderly immigrants will also need ageing services, especially since their families by and large are not with them.

As reported in the YLE News, NGOs and government agencies in Finland realize that they will need to adjust services to meet the various cultural and social needs of this new ageing population.
