The dynamics of the global ageing demographics are affecting everyone is a different way – workers, employers, and government all have challenges as a result of the population changes.

One solution to the problem employers have in finding workers is to employ older people.   To help make that concept a reality, the Singapore government plans to compel firms to offer re-employment to staff when they reach retirement age.    Speaking at the a Retirement Conference earlier in January 2009,  Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also said that the government would also an annuity to help it cope with a rapidly ageing population.
