In September 2008 we blogged about how Aged and Community Services Australia [ACSA] was committed to improving the image of ageing services in Australia.

The campaign theme – Can-Do – carries the message that aged are professionals are ‘can-do’ people that are vital to the field.  As reported in Australian Ageing Agenda, the campaign is primarily aimed at women aged 45 and over and focuses on the relationships between clients and carers in aged care.

In addition to reaching individuals outside the field, the campaign will also attempt to boost the morale of those who care for the elderly.

The campaign’s A$1.2 million budget will use national television and magazine advertisements to carry its message.   ACSA is asking its members to support the campaign.
