Eurofound, The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, has published a report on the situation of older women workers in Europe.

According to the report, older women workers represent an increasing proportion of the workforce in the EU, especially in the 55-64 years age groups.    There has been much discussion about the importance of engaging older workers and this report provides pertinent background information and policy pointers to encourage debate on the future of social policy in this area.

The long term care workforce is a major topic of discussion at IAHSA’s conference in London in July.    IAHSA and its members see the role of older women in aged care of  increasing importance.
