Use of various technologies to augment efforts to care for the elderly and disabled, either in an institutional setting or at home in the community, has been the focus for much discussion over the past few years.

And as the use of these technologies grows, more attention is being paid to issues such as privacy versus safety and the ethical lines that may be crossed.   Janice Blanchard recently published an article on telemedicine information exchange that explores these issues and offers food for thought as the science grows.

Thanks to Janice and ChangingAging.org for sharing this important information.
