Veteran Harry Patch, the last surviving soldier from WWI, passed away this week at his home at the Fletcher House care home in Somerset, a facility managed by IAHSA Board Member Andrew Larpent.     Andrew offered a tribute to Mr. Patch during his remarks at IAHSA’s conference in London in July, sharing with us the universal respect and admiration of many for his contributions to the War.

Click The Guardian for some photos of the service on Wednesday which was attended by thousands who came to pay tribute to Mr. Patch.
