Many people believe that technology can enhance the care and support of older people, helping them stay at home longer, reducing the burden of staff, increasing the quality of life, etc.

But what is really happening?   Simon Roberts of Intel Corporation looks at these issues in a new paper published by the International Longevity Center in the UK.   The paper, The Fictions, Facts and Future of Older People and Technology, explores the gap between the hopes for technology and the reality of what is currently being achieved and how we might be able to close it.
