This is the title of an article in Business Times today, written by Shahid Javed Burki, senior visiting fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, former vice president of the World Bank and finance minister of Pakistan in 1996.

One theme of the article is that South Asia has an opportunity to take advantage of the changing demographics in the developed world because their populations are ageing, and demand for services from younger populations will be in high demand.     Over time developed countries will rely more and more on populous parts of the world, increasing their opportunity to grow economically.

Let us know if you think Mr. Bruki’s thoughts are valid.
