BUPA, in conjunction with The Work Foundation, C3 Collaborating for Health and RAND Europe, recently published Healthy Work: Evidence into Action, a report that argues that demographic changes will mean workers in the future will generally be sicker and older.

As reported in Personneltoday, the study urges government and employers to be more aggressive in addressing health with their employees and to invest more in workplace health initiatives.  Employers will need to support people with healthy conditions at work to try to avoid increased levels of absence and lower productivity brought on by poor health.
