The Stanford [California] Center on Longevity recently published  a report entitled New Realities of an Older America: Challenges, Changes and Questions.

This joins a number of recent studies showing the impact of the global ageing phenomenon and how important it is to change societal and economic policies to address these demographic challenges.

New Realities provides an overview, a framework for thinking about each trend and comparative perspectives on changes over time and across age groups.   It seems like a good tool for use in other countries as well.
