The European Parliament last week launched the FUTURAGE Road Map, a program designed to provide the European research agenda for ageing over the next 10 years.

Created by Alan Walker, Professor of Social Policy and Social Gerontology at the University of Sheffield in England, the FUTURAGE project will focus on key research questions that must be addressed in the near future in order to effectively manage the challenges of an ageing population.  FUTURAGE presents a major step forward in European ageing research and involves researchers, companies and government officials in 14 European countries.

IAHSA, in conjunction with the LeadingAge Center for Applied Research, is interested in learning about applied research projects that affect care for elders, both in the community and institutional settings.   Please share with us information on projects that you are involved with.
