Skills for Care (UK) has announced that their annual conference will be held in Manchester on Thursday 8 March 2012. This year’s event will bring together speakers to address issues such as workforce planning, how to make sure your are employing the best possible people, reforms in social work, apprenticeships as a solution, the ongoing importance of standards and qualifications, visioning the Social Care Workforce of 2025, and how to facilitate Commissioner – Provider relationships. Confirmed speakers for the event include Paul Burstow MP and Peter Hay, President of ADASS.  This event is ideal for senior staff from local authorities, training managers, training providers, representatives of employer organizations as well as  people in higher education.
