HelpAge International [HAI] has assumed control of the Port au Prince Nursing Home in the Haitian capital.    As noted in Medical News Today, the mayor appointed HAI to oversee the day-to-day running of the home for the next six months, helping provide care to this needy population.

During a disaster the elderly are often the last to receive aid and HAI has been in the forefront of ensuring that they are not ignored.   IAHSA strongly urges you to help support their efforts through the weblinks below.
